Adult Assessment
& Testing

Adult Assessment and Testing — referring to psychodiagnostic assessment and psychometric administration (testing) — covers a range of structured psychological assessment procedures designed to clarify diagnostic hypotheses, address specific referral questions, and support clinical decision-making and treatment planning. Formulations and conclusions are derived through the systematic integration of multiple data sources rather than from any single method.

Assessments are tailored to the individual and the purpose of the evaluation. Depending on the referral question, the assessment process may include a comprehensive clinical interview, review of relevant medical and psychiatric history, collateral information (where appropriate), and the administration of standardized psychometric measures.

It is important to note that psychometric testing alone — the administration of a single instrument in isolation — does not, by itself, establish a diagnosis. Reliance on a single measure is methodologically insufficient; psychometric results must be interpreted and integrated within a broader evaluation process. Where an individual is referred by a psychiatrist for targeted psychometric testing, the resulting report provides structured psychometric findings and clinical interpretation to support the referring clinician's diagnostic formulation and treatment planning.

Scope of Assessment

I provide psychological assessment and psychometric testing for adults for psychiatric and medico-legal purposes, including court-related matters. Assessments are referral-focused and designed to support diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, and the provision of a structured psychological opinion in response to the referral question.

My diagnostic assessment pathways for adults include:

  • Differential diagnostic assessment for complex presentations (including comorbidity and diagnostic clarification across overlapping symptom profiles)
  • Comprehensive assessment of psychopathology (e.g., mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related presentations, obsessive-compulsive and related symptoms where relevant to the referral question)
  • Personality and characterological assessment (including personality structure, personality pathology, and clinically relevant personality features where indicated)
  • Adult ADHD assessment
  • Adult Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment

For judicial and court-related psychological evaluations, please see the dedicated service page.

What to Expect

The process begins with an initial consultation to clarify the referral question, the purpose of the assessment, and the most appropriate evaluation pathway. At this stage, the proposed structure, the estimated number of sessions, and the measures that may be used are explained.

Following completion of the assessment, findings are integrated into a psychological, psychodiagnostic, or psychometric report tailored to the referral purpose. The report includes clinically relevant findings, interpretation of psychometric data, and recommendations where appropriate (e.g., treatment planning, further assessment, or psychiatric follow-up). Sessions are offered in Limassol or Paphos. Online sessions are available to residents of Cyprus only, where appropriate to the assessment protocol.
